Anseillan is a locality on the estate of Château Lafite Rothschild. It has always been a part of it. It is a wine with an identity of its own.
This hamlet, made up of small disparate stone houses typical of the Médoc, has existed since the 16th century and became part of the Château Lafite Rothschild estate in 1970 thanks to Elie de Rothschild.
The Anseillan wine is made by the Lafite teams in the Lafite winery and cellars, and with the same love and passion. Although its production varies from one vintage to the other, its quality is consistent.
It is a straightforward, precise, and consistent wine. A Pauillac with a clear identity. Another expression of the terroir of Château Lafite Rothschild.
